Graveside services for Vern Jerome Bamburg, age 88 of Jefferson formerly of Waskom & Shreveport will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday May 7, 2012 at Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson with Father Jose Kumblumkan officiating. Interment will follow services under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson.

Mrs. Bamburg was born April 20, 1924 in Detroit, MI., to John & Grace Pattison Jerome she passed away May 4, 2012 in Marshall. . Vern was a very talented Artist & Sculptor. She was a retired commercial Artist for the Piggly Wiggly grocery store chain where she helped design their logo. Vern was the former owner of the Dragon Fly Art Gallery in Shreveport. She was very creative and enjoyed working with her hands. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Duaine Bamburg, grandson, Michael Bamburg, one sister & one brother.

Survivors include: Four children; Mike Bamburg of Waskom, Bruce Bamburg & wife Peggy of Bossier City, Holly Knox of Marshall, & Robin Moore & husband Pat of Jefferson, one sister, Judy Macedo of Oakland, CA., Nine grandchildren & Eight grea-grandchildren.
