Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Ereckson Chastain, 93, of Jefferson, Texas will be 10:00 A.M. Friday May 26, 2017, at the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hoke officiating. Private interment will be held at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5-7 P.M. Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chastain was born January 25, 1924 in Murphy, TX. to Harry Earl and Jessie Marie Lemons Ereckson and passed away May 20, 2017 in Marshall. She was Librarian at the Corporate Research and Engineering Library at Texas Instruments for 23 years and was past president 96-98 of the Jessie Allen Wise Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Perry Chastain, sister Wanda Louise Willoe, brothers, John H. Ereckson and Gene E. Ereckson.

Mrs. Chastain is survived by her brother, Jerry F. Ereckson, step-daughter, Catherine Chastain, nieces, Susan Willoe Fonss, Wanda Jean Willoe, Pamela Ereckson Fox, Debra Ereckson, nephews, Scott Ereckson, John Ereckson, sister-in-law, Genevieve Ereckson and beloved dog, Dutch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jessie Allen Wise Garden Club, P.O. Box 301, Jefferson, TX. 75657.
