Frederick Louis "Freddy Bear" Ordelheide passed on to his eternal home June 18, 2017. He passed peacefully at his home at Lake of the Pines with his daughter by his side.

Fred was born December 23, 1947 to Dorothy (Forson) Ordelheide and Harold Ordelheide in Ft. Worth, Texas. He spent his childhood in Ft. Worth and grew up fishing at Possum Kingdom Lake with his Ma and Pa and taking summer road trips to Colorado Springs. The family moved to Oklahoma City, where he completed his senior year at Putnam City High School. He attended OSU, where he began his accounting degree, and was a member of the Acacia fraternity. Fred enlisted in the Navy in 1969 and served in Vietnam as a member of Navy Seal Team One's Underwater Demolition Team. After Vietnam, he returned to OSU, where he completed his degree in accounting. He made lifetime friends as a member of the Acacia fraternity and loved playing Intermural sports. Upon graduation, he married Christine Fransen, and the two moved to Shreveport, LA. They had one daughter, Fransen, in 1981. Fred later spent time traveling for his job with Oracle Corporation and he retired in 2016.

Fred loved the Lake of the Pines and was proud to call it home. He made many dear friends in the 18 years that he lived there. Fred, Linda and their belated friend "Squeeze" were known as the 3 Musketeers and made a lifetime of memories together. He enjoyed doing projects around his house and was looking forward to traveling the United States in his new RV. He loved traveling and deep sea fishing with his lifelong friend, Dennis Youngblood, of Florida. He also enjoyed yearly golf trips with his Acacia fraternity brothers. He was a fan of all things Cowboy football; both OSU and the Dallas Cowboys. Fred was a proud "Papa Bear" to his two granddaughters, Maeve (3) and Margo (1), of Oklahoma City, and enjoyed building with blocks and fishing with them.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his daughter Fransen Ordelheide McGinley and her husband Todd McGinley of Oklahoma City, granddaughters Maeve and Margo, and his sister Linda Coleman of Jefferson, Texas. He leaves behind many friends from all stages of his life. He will be greatly missed.

There will be no services. Cremation arrangements made under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson, TX.
