Funeral Services for Kenneth "Kenny" Ponder of Hallsville, TX. will be held 11:00am at First United Methodist Church in Marshall, TX. Thursday June 22nd 2017 with the Rev. Rodger Garbs officiating. Entombment will be in Colonial Gardens, Marshall, TX. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday June 21st at Haggard Funeral Home.

Kenny passed away Saturday June 17th 2017 in Longview, TX. He was born October 31st, 1965 in Atlanta, GA. To Gene K. and Shirley A. Ponder.

Kenny was a graduate of Marshall High School in 1984 and earned as Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology from North Carolina State University. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Marshall, TX., a lifelong member of Ducks Unlimited and a devoted contributor to the Wounded Warriors project, both personally and professionally.

Kenny worked in the Kitchen Cabinet Industry for many years; starting as a laborer and worked his way up to VP of Manufacturing. In 2008, he joined his father in the new Marshall manufacturing company now known as Master WoodCraft. Kenny served as Executive Vice President until his untimely passing.

Kenny was an avid outdoorsman, rancher, and expert hunter with many trophy mounts attributing to his extraordinary skill with firearms, but was also very conservation and environmentally mindful.

Surviving relatives are his Mother and Father, Gene and Patsy Ponder of Marshall, TX., his wife Kim Wright Ponder, brothers, Alan Ponder and wife Teresa, Jeff Ponder and wife Quinn, sister Anita Windam and husband David, his three sons Blake Ponder, Gene Ponder II and wife Colby, and Pierce Ponder, all of Marshall, TX. Kenny was also the proud Grandfather of Presleigh Ponder, daughter of Gene and Colby.

Pallbearers will be Larry Walls, Joe Harpold, Shea Davidson, Cody Vernon, Octavio Sanchez, Jorge Sanchez, Cesar Hernandez and Mark Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers will be his many friends.
