Amanda McQuistion Obituary

Amanda K. McQuistion age 43, of Caldwell, OH formerly of Texarkana, TX passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born January 20, 1976 in Texarkana a daughter of Debbie Crawford (Larry) Reid of De Kalb, TX and the late Mack Arthur Basham.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband for his work and riding motorcycles with him. She was a lover of music and could often be found watching YouTube videos of all kinds of music. What Amanda loved the most was spending time with her grandbabies and being their MaeMae.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother are her husband William “John” McQuistion, whom she married October 23, 1998; 4 children Valarie (Andy Jones) Freeland of Caldwell, Jacob Thomason of Texas, Hannah McQuistion of Texarkana, and Caleb Thomason of De Kalb, TX; 7 grandchildren Tristan Jones, Connor Freeland, Braxton Jones, Kendall Jones, Clara and Kennedy Freeland, and Liam Jones; 2 brothers Steven Basham and Matthew Basham both of Texarkana; mother-in-law Becky (Bob) Whatley of Kildare, TX. She is also survived by extended family and a huge group of friends with whom, her and John have been blessed.

The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 5:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Daniel Carpenter officiating.

Additional services will be held in Texas under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Center Hill Baptist Church, 4677 FM1841, Linden, TX 75563, where the funeral service will conclude visitation Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Cremation will follow with inurnment to be held at a later date.
