Funeral services for Beth Patterson, 83, of Jefferson are scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10AM in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Pastor Sherrill Stiles officiating and Ander Graham assisting.  Interment will follow at 2PM at Tira Cemetery in Tira, Texas.  A time of visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 5 to 7 PM in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patterson passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana and was born December 23, 1936 in Sherman, Texas to Roland Banks Keltner and Mittie B. Edgette Keltner.  Beth owned and operated Pic-Pay Grocery and Texas 49 Crossing in Jefferson and Smithland for over 42 years only retiring a few years ago.  She was a big supporter of the local 4H, Carnegie Library, Jefferson Salutes America and numerous other events.

Mrs. Patterson and her husband were well known for being the heart and soul of Smithland. Her generosity and kindness was something that was well known and appreciated by everyone that had the honor of knowing and loving her.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Patterson; step-mother, Nopal Slate Keltner Stephenson; sister, Mary Keltner; sister, Margaret Erwin; brother, William Keltner; brother, Edward Erwin; brother, Paul Erwin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Carlos Dunlap; son, James Dunlap & Nelda; son, Larry Dunlap; son, Michael Dunlap & Shirley; daughter, Missy Patterson Baldwin & Scott; grandson, Zackery Baldwin; grandson, William Baldwin; granddaughter, Julia Dunlap; grandson, Ethan Dunlap; granddaughter, Kathy Dunlap; grandson; Matthew Dunlap; grandson, Jimmy Dunlap; granddaughter, Rachell Navarottie; grandson, Trey Dunlap; granddaughter, Michelle Dunlap; great-grandson, Randy Dunlap; great-granddaughter, Haley Lagrande; great-grandson, Ethan Dunlap; great-granddaughter, Mia Lagrande.

Pallbearers will be David McKnight, Ethan Dunlap, James Dunlap, Anthony Hamm, Craig Roden and Jeremy Moore.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made Carnegie Library.
