Dorothy M. Hollingsworth

Memorial services for Mrs. Dorothy M. Hollingsworth, 91, of Bossier City, Louisiana will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 25, 2018 at The Capt. W.M. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.  Mrs. Hollingsworth passed away on October 20, 2018 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dorothy Hollingsworth was born June 5, 1927 in LaGrange, Georgia to Luther Kelley, Sr. and Essie King.   

Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of the Women’s VFW Post 5951 in Bossier City, Louisiana.  She had many passions in life that included her love of baking, taking fresh bread to the VA hospital, arts & crafts as well as crocheting and playing bingo. Above all else, Mrs. Hollingsworth cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Hollingsworth in death were her parents; husband, Robert Hollingsworth; granddaughter, Karyn Ivey; brothers, Buddy, Douglas, and Luther Kelley, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Otis David Wright of Bossier City, LA; son, Tommy Waldorf of Savannah, Ga; daughter, Brenda Gail Rogers of Warner Robins, GA; daughter, Rose Ivey of Bossier City, LA; daughter Debra Lange & Gunther of Blanchard, LA; son, Toby Hollingsworth of Arcadia, LA; daughter Carolyn Hammett of Kathleen, GA; son, Michael Hollingsworth & Kiyomi of Goodyear, AZ; brother, Joel Wayne Kelley of Georgia; brother, Dwight Kelley of Georgia; brother, James William Kelley of Georgia; sister, Mary Rogers of Georgia; sister, Peggy McWater of Georgia; sister, Sally Wilson of Georgia; grandson, Jeremy Hilton; grandson, Robert Hilton; granddaughter, Christy Lambert; grandson, Kenneth Hollingsworth; 8 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
