Emma Wanicki Obituary

Pastor Emma Jean Wanicki, age 63, of Jefferson, Passed away June 17, 2018 in Marshall, Texas.

She was born November 24, 1954 in Scott County Virginia.

Pastor Emma is survived by her husband, James E. Wanicki and two sons, Benjamin R. McKenzie and wife Dianne and Dwayne Wanicki and his fiancé Kimberly Turci, as well as one granddaughter, Cheyenne McKenzie.

Pastor Emma was ordained April 12, 2011 and assisted Pastor Roy Jones of Atlanta, Texas. Mrs. Wanicki was the founding mother of the 4 States Vietnam-Korean Memorial in Texarkana, Texas in 1986. She had worked for Vietnam Veterans on their claims. She also worked with Laura Bush to place historical paintings in East Texas schools as well as Michelle Obama and President Obama to improve health care at the V.A. Hospital.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 30th at the transportation building in Jefferson, Texas located at 305 East Austin Street.
