George Lemuel Hicks, Sr.

Funeral Services for Mr. George Lemuel Hicks Sr., 84, of Jefferson, Texas are scheduled for 2:00PM Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Cpt. Wm Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas with Bro. Kyle Miller officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.  Visitation is from 1-2 P.M. Thursday June 28, 2018 at Haggard Funeral Home.

Mr. Hicks was born April 26, 1934 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to Sam Bethel Hicks and Donie Crocker and passed away June 25, 2018 in Jefferson, Texas.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlene Hicks; sisters, Jane Barnhill and Jean Barnhill and a brother, Leland Hicks.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, George Hicks Jr. and Susan; son, Mark Hicks and Wendy; sister, June Boggs; brother, Jerry Hicks & Carolyn;  granddaughter, Jennifer Golightly; granddaughter, Lacy McMillon and Justin; granddaughter, Courtney Langston and Robert; grandson, Colton Hicks and Megan; grandson, Marcus Hicks; grandson, Makenzie Hicks and Shelby; great grandchildren, Jaxson Hicks, Kaitlin Golightly, Darcey Moore, Cole and Cass McMillon, Andrew Hicks, River Langston; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Hicks, Makenzie Hicks, Colton Hicks, Justin McMillon, Tuffy Cornett, Jim Cornett, Jonathon Cornett and Joey Cornett.  Honorary pallbearers are C.A. Clark, J.C. “Porky” Burns and Robby Combs.
