Henry and his wife were neighbors of mine and my late wife Marie for many years after he and Dorothy built there home in Hampton Addition west of Jefferson. He was a great neighbor and was always a perfect gentleman. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him as a friend.

Loved Henry Carter. I’ve known him my whole life. I would visit his grocery store from elementary school at lunch. He was just the nicest person anyone could know. Will miss seeing him when I’m in Jefferson.

Sending my prayers for the family. I remember going to his store when I was in grade school. He was always such a new man. He will be missed in Jefferson !!

Edith & I send our prayers to the family. We feel blessed by meeting Henry early in our arrival to Jefferson. This early association was improved when we met Dorthy. We have always admired them as a couple.

Henry's absence will be missed; we trust Dorthy will continue her life with the same love she shared with Henry!!
