James Richard Crabtree

Memorial services for Mr. James Richard Crabtree, 71, of Jefferson  are  10:00 a.m. Saturday September 23, 2017 in the Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements made under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson, TX.

James Richard (Rick) Crabtree passed on September 12, 2017 at 12:34 pm.  He was born January 25, 1946 in Wadsworth, Ohio.  He was the youngest of 2 siblings born to Otis Crabtree, Jr. and Doris E. Smith.  Rick Served 20 years in the Navy, having duty stations all over the world.  He retired as a Lieutenant Commander (LCDR), whose position was Flight Maintenance Officer.  Rick was a member of Mensa.  His brilliant mind and curiosity led him to try many things and learn about numerous topics.  His last effort was his garden.  He loved his flowers and vegetables.  He loved his family and was so proud of them.  He was a wonderful, loving husband and companion. 

Mr. Crabtree was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Jeannine Amber, his sister Bonnie Berg and his niece Stacie Berg, his sons Michael Mantilla Crabtree and James Jesse Necito Crabtree, his daughters Michelle Renee Crabtree and Jennifer Eileen Medley.  He was also survived by his much-loved grandchildren James, Asia, Deion, Devante, Michayla, Gabriel, Nathan, Jaycob, Jason, James, and Miguel.

Rick did not want cut flowers at his memorial but if you want, please plant a flower or tree as a remembrance of him.
