Lee Aycock Obituary

Lee Edmund “Salty” Aycock, 72, of Avinger Texas passed away on April 6,2019. Salty was born

in Marshall,Tx the son of Edmund “Sweetie” Aycock and Genevieve (Henderson) Aycock.

 

Salty graduated from Avinger ISD in 1965 and attended Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin

State University. In his early years Salty ran the family business, A&P Home and Auto. Salty

made many lifelong friendships and memories working there. He worked construction then

eventually went to work for Avinger ISD,where he worked as a custodian. He was loved by the

students and faculty. He retired from Avinger ISD after 25 years.

 

Salty is survived by his wife Marion “Shine” Aycock, son Andy Aycock, daughter April (Aycock)

Grogan, grandchildren Murandi Aycock, Trinity Aycock, Andrew Grogan and Asher Grogan. He

is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.

 

A memorial service will be held April 20,2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Avinger Cemetery. In case of

inclement weather services will be held in the Avinger Methodist Church fellowship hall. In lieu

of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Avinger ISD, 245 Connor, Avinger, TX 75630.
