Lila Rudisaile Upton

Funeral services for Lila Evelyn Upton, 91, of Jefferson will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday June 29, 2018 at Jefferson Academy S.D.A. Church with Pastor John Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Visitation is 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.

Lila Evelyn Upton was born May 18, 1927 in Hope, Arkansas to Claude Rudisaile and Elva Burdick.  Lila spent the majority of her adult life as a nurse caring for others while also showing constant attention and affection to her family as a doting and loving wife and mother.

Preceding Mrs. Upton in death were her husband, Carl Upton and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia June Hale of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Carl Upton Jr. & Pattie of Centertan, Arkansas; son, Jon Upton & Lynne of Buerleson, Texas; Son, Kerry Upton & Ginger of Jefferson, Texas; 9 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mrs. Evelyn’s family will lovingly act as pallbearers.
