Louis Delong

Funeral services for Mr. Louis C. Delong, 84, of Jefferson are scheduled for 2:00 p.m.  Friday, November 3, 2017. at Jefferson Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church with Bro. John Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Berea cemetery under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. There will be a gathering of family and friends 6-8 p.m.  Thurday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Delong was born May 7, 1933 in Syracuse, N.Y. to Willis Harvey and Lola Margie Babcock Delong and passed away October 30, 2017 in Longview, TX.

Mr. Delong is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Lawrence Delong, Vernon Delong, Earl Delong, sisters; Lola Mae Wilson and Doris Delong.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Wilma Williams Delong, children; Rodney Delong & Jeanene of Aledo,  TX.,  Allan Delong & Sharon of Austin, TX., Keith Delong & Missy of  Jefferson, TX., Greg Delong of Missoula, MT., step-children; Michael Littell & Rhonda of Portland, TN., Sharon Rogers of Collegedale, TN., Skip Lowery & Joy of Augusta, GA. Randy Williams & Barbara of Jefferson, Julia Harvey of Atlanta, TX., Kathy Williams of Atlanta, TX., Steven Williams of Jefferson, Caitlin Williams of Jefferson, sister, Dorothy Parish of Winston, N.C., twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jefferson Christian Academy, 3060 FM 728, Jefferson, TX. 75657.

Pallbearers include Randy Williams, Gene Henderson, Bob Powell, Bobby Lindsay  Mike Tullock and Robbie Tullock.
