Mary Evelyn Melton

Graveside service for Mrs. Mary Evelyn Melton, 89, of Jefferson will be held 3:30 P.M. Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Old Bethel Cemetery in Frankston, Texas under the direction of Haggard Funeral home of Jefferson, Texas.

Mary Evelyn Melton was born September 3, 1928 in Pointer Texas to John and Emma Cook Parker.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson.

She is survived by four children, Karen Jones and husband Roger of Mt Vernon, TX, Larry Melton and Wife Marilyn of Houston, TX, Shelly Loyd and husband Buddy of Gilmer, TX, Laura Adair and husband Louis of Yantis, TX, her niece Sondra Hensley of Carrollton, TX, seven grandchildren, Brett Jones and wife Laura, Bryan Jones and wife Robin, Jason Moore and wife Julie, Angela Johnson and husband Kevin, Lindsay Thode and husband Thomas, Randy Smith and wife Alden Jereme Smith and wife Danielle, 10 Great Grandchildren, Great Nephew Michael Long and wife Eva as well as numerous friends and extended family.

Preceding Mrs. Melton in death are her parents, husband Floyd Junior Melton, her granddaughter Jaclyn Moore, her sister Velma Shopher and two brothers.
