Morris Allen Pollick

Morris Allen Pollick was born on September 18, 1938 to Henry Allen and Alice Morris Pollick and sister Virginia Nell in the Jackson Community. Sixteen years later, Judy Caroline Williams joined the family.

Morris attended schools in Jefferson and Harleton. In 1959 he married JoAnn Smith of Berea. Their family was completed with the birth of a son, Richard Allen Pollick in 1963.

Morris earned his degree in Nursing and Anesthesia in Tennessee, finishing at age 40. He loved his career as a Nurse Anesthetist. He enjoyed metal detecting, writing poetry, gardening and spoiling his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Jefferson Academy Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, son Richard Allen Pollick and wife Melissa of Arlington, three grandchildren; Halli Nichole Pollick, Richard Allen Pollick II of Arlington and McKenzie Renae Pollick of Jefferson, sister; Judy Hairell and husband Michael Hairell of Canyon Lake, TX., two nieces, four nephews, seven cousins and numerous great nephews and nieces.

Morris departed this life December 7, in Jefferson.

His self-appointed task this past year was “picking up sticks” and later he sat on his porch pointing out “all those dead tree limbs I need to cut.”
