Mrs. Dorothy "Liz" George Owens

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy “Liz” George Owens, 67, of  Amarillo, TX., formerly of Beckville, TX.  are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at  Pine Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Jackie Harris and Rev. Joe Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Connor Cemetery, Beckville, TX.  under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday at Pine Grove Assembly of God Church from 12 – 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Owens was born July 29, 1950 in Carthage, TX.  to Eddie and Patsy Harris George and passed away December 19, 2017 in Amarillo, TX..

Mrs. Owens was a member of First Family Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, TX., She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Owens is preceded in death by her husband Larry Owens, father, brother, Edward Eugene George and sister, Margie Magness.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Larry Owens & Ashley of Overton, TX., Mary Gray & Terrell of Amarillo, TX., Tim Owens & Sumer of Beckville, TX., Mother, Patsy George of Beckville, TX., Brother, John Wix & Suzanne of Jefferson, TX. , Louise Freeman & Joe of Beckville, TX., grandchildren: Brandon Owens, Samatha James, Jordan Hudman, Ezra Gray, Rachel Gray, Ava Gray, Kamren Gray, Cadence Owens, Levi Owens, and Aubrey Owens.

Pallbearers include: Eddie Proctor, John Magness, Ricky George, David George, Jacob Wix, and Brian Freeman.
