Mrs. Norma Easter (Gross) Hardy

Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Easter Hardy, 80, of Jefferson are Friday, 10:00 a.m. September 15, 2017 at the Cpt. Wm Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home, with Jerry Lee Hardy, Jr. officiating with interment to follow at Kellyville Cemetery under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson, TX.  A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hardy was the Matriarch of the family.  She was born March 28, 1937 in Moriah, Illinois to Ira Gross and Audrey Howe.  Mrs. Hardy loved crafts and was always making things for the family.  She also made crafts that were sold in Jefferson at a local merchant.  She supported her husband as a military spouse for 21 years of dedicated military service.  Norma was a very strong willed person and accomplished anything she put her mind to.  She loved and would do anything for her family and will be missed very dearly.

Mrs. Hardy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Laura Elen Ridgway; Brothers Donald Gross, Leroy Gross, and Jerry Gross; and the love of her life, Jerry Lee Hardy, Sr., her husband, of Greenup, Illinois.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her son Jerry Lee Hardy, Jr. and wife Corinne; Daughter Connie Sue Dunham and husband Willard; Brother Lester Gross; Sisters Gwen Schmidt and Olive K. Monroe; Grandchildren Crystal, Shannon, Jerry, Sherry, Misty, April, Joey, and Amber; and 19 Great Grandchildren.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
