Graveside services for Mr. Noel “Doug” Whittington, Jr., 81, of Jefferson will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 11, 2019 at Val Verde Cemetery in Val Verde, Texas with Dr. Jeff Taylor officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.

Mr. Whittington was born July 6, 1937 in Ft. Worth, TX. to Noel Douglas and Louise Wright Whittington, and passed away April 4, 2019 in Longview, TX.

Mr. Whittington was a purchasing agent for Bell Helicopter.

Mr. Whittington was preceded in death by his parents and an adored Aunt Mildred “Nannie”.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Lindy Whittington of Jefferson and son, Rick Neel & Tonia of Tulsa, OK. , grandchild, Shelbie Neel and other extended family and friends.

The family asked that memorials be made to The Humane Society of Harrison Co., TX, 1901 Jefferson Ave., Marshal, TX. 75670-1275 in place of flowers.
