Graveside services for Mr. Virgil Earl Webster, 83, of Avinger, Texas will be held at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Mims Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Tankersley officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday September 11, 2019 at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas.
Mr. Webster was born December 18, 1935 in Marion County, Texas to Jack Webster and Maggie Mae Dorgan and passed away peacefully at his home in Lassater, Texas on September 9, 2019.
Mr. Webster is preceded in death by his parents.
He married Dorothy Upchurch in 1959 and was married for 60 years. Virgil worked as in construction, pipelining and logging throughout his life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy Webster, son, Rob Webster; daughters, Merrilee Glover & Mark and Melanie Knight & Keith. He had six grandchildren; Mallory Webster, Kaitlin Webster, Christian Glover & Cassie, Jonathan Glover & Lauren, Rusty Knight, Ryan Knight & Shelby. Virgil had seven great grandchildren and brother Glen Webster & Ann, of Phelps, N. Y., brother, Jim Webster & Peggy of Ore City, and one sister, Gearldine Moore & Gawain of Lassater; brother-in-law, Jon Upchurch & Linda of Canandaigua, New York; sister-in-laws, Tammy King & Marland and JoAnn Young of Nebraska, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Keith Knight, Mark Glover, Christian Glover, Rusty Knight, Johnathan Glover, Ryan Knight, Honorary pallbearers are: Jim Webster, Glen Webster, Jack Webster, Kipp Webster, Little Boy Dorgan and Gawain Moore.
