William Massey Obituary

Graveside services for William Russell Massey, 72, of Jefferson are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at Oakwood Memorial Park with Rev. Kyle Miller officiating. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Monday at Haggard Funeral Home prior to service.

Mr. Massey was born September 5, 1945 in Lubbock, TX. to William Russell and Mollie Coburn Massey and passed away January 18, 2018 in Longview, TX.

Mr. Massey was a member and deacon of Grace & Truth Baptist Church at Lassiter, a retired carpenter and built houses for over 25 years. He was married to Mary Marie Bumgarner for 41 years until her death April 12, 2005.

Mr. Massey is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory include children; Lisa Wadlington of Jefferson, Bonnie Massey Webster of Longview, Jason & Tracy Massey of Jefferson, sister; Mary Martha Bishop & Denson of Jefferson, grandchildren; Mallory, Kaitlin, Rayven, Trey, Hope and Marie Claire, great grandchildren; Mia and Aubrey, daughter-in-law; Kathy Massey.
