Inurnment Graveside services for Alice Camp, 84, Jefferson will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery pavilion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Captain Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.
On Friday, October 14th, 2022 Alice Rose (Davis) Camp passed away peacefully at her home in Jefferson after a long illness with dementia.
Alice Rose was born in Dallas, graduated from Marshall High & East Texas Baptist University. She was married to Merwin Jackson Camp, Jr. for 61 years and enjoyed traveling, gardening & community work. After moving back to East Texas in 1991, she became involved with Trinity Episcopal Church & School in Marshall and was active in her community in Jefferson & Woodlawn. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, involved with the Woodlawn Cemetery Association and later a member at Christ Episcopal Church in Jefferson.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gladys & Charles Davis, and two brothers, Charles & Joseph.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Merwin J Camp Jr.; daughter, Elise; son, Anderon; nephew, Joe & wife Claudia; great-niece, Sydney and great-nephew Wayne; as well as other extended family members. She is also remembered as a loving grandmother and great grandmother.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the different home healthcare teams & Heritage hospice for their dutiful service.
