Memorial Services for Arthur C. Rigg, of Jefferson, TX are scheduled for Friday, July 1, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home, 203 East Clarksville, Jefferson, Texas. Arthur passed away on June 22, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones after a difficult battle with Heart Failure. He was a Husband, Father, Brother, Son, and a great Friend.
Arthur Rigg was born on September 7, 1958, to Geraldine and Harold Rigg in Rapid City, South Dakota. After Arthur graduated from Bossier High in 1976, he pursued a degree in Aviation, Airframe, and Powerplant at Texas Aero Tech in Dallas, Texas. After graduating he worked for Express One at Meachum Field Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. Later he got his dream job working for AMR at DFW Airport in Dallas, Texas. After a few years he went on to work for Dalfort Aerospace. His most favorite moments in his aviation career were the Test Flights. He called it a thrill-seeking moment. During his aviation career, he was afforded the opportunity to work on some famous peoples planes. They were Former President of the United States Donald J. Trump's 727-100 and the Prince of Jordan's Airbus 340.
Art met the love of his life Michaela Quinn and they married in 1979 and had 5 beautiful children. Art was a hard-working man. He was smart, creative, generous, kind, funny and outgoing. He loved his family and his pets. Art loved airshows and WW2 airplanes. He ate, slept, and drank aviation. When there was a show in town, he gathered up the family to watch those great warbirds. Art was a warrior. He fought this disease as hard as he could. He made peace with it and was ready to go. To leave this diseased body was better than suffering every day.
We love you. You will be missed.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done. -Afterglow-Anon
