Barbara Chambliss

Funeral Services for Mrs. Barbara Chambliss, 67, of Jefferson are scheduled for Tuesday, March 09, 2021 at 12PM in the Faith Tabernacle UPC with Pastor David Story officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11AM to 12PM at Faith Tabernacle UPC.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. 

Barbara Ledbetter Chambliss was born in Jefferson on January 17th, 1954 to Shirley and Wesley Ledbetter of Jefferson, Texas.  She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview, Texas at the age of 67.

Barbara was married in 1970 to Harvey Wayne Chambliss and enjoyed 50 wonderful years of marriage. She had a fulfilling career as a caregiver to many people in the Jefferson community, in addition to working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Barbara loved her big family and always helped take care of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Wayne Chambliss of Jefferson; Ricky and Liz Chambliss of Longview; Amanda and Scott Nash of Jefferson; Grandchildren, Michael Craver, Lisa Rhoades, Megan Craver, Devin Cook, Tait Loeffler, Sophia Loeffler, Silas Loeffler, Harlan Loeffler, and Emily Bornman. Great grandchildren, Preston and Cason Rhoades; Sadie and Mason Doyle; Brently, Remmi, and Blake Woods. Bentley, Tra’Shawn, and Josiah McKenzie of Killeen, Texas. Siblings Steve Ledbetter, Marilyn Thompson, Richard Ledbetter, Lora Ramsey, and Pam Ledbetter all of Jefferson.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Shirley and Wesley Ledbetter, her eldest daughter Rachel Chambliss, and grandchild Tristan Rhoades.
