Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Barbara Currie Mattoon, 76, of Jefferson, Texas are being conducted under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Mrs. Mattoon was born May 11, 1944 in Cortland, New York to Judah Currie and Irene Lasda Currie and passed away on March 15, 2021 in Marshall, Texas.

Mrs. Mattoon was preceded in death her parents; daughter, Kim Mattoon and 5 siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Nelson Mattoon, Sr.; son, Nelson Mattoon, Jr. & Rhonda; son, Scott Mattoon; daughter, Wendy Jones & Brandon; brother, Judah Currie II; sister, Helen Hogle & Homer; grandchildren, Ashley Felts, Alisha Felts, Malinda Warner, Brandi Captain, Nicole Waltman, Kaylee Jones, Hannah Jones, Sydney Jones, Michael Albright; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
