Graveside Services for Mrs. Betty Lou Cockerham, 79, of Hughes Springs are scheduled for Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Winnfield, LA. with Matthew Stewart officiating and under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Mrs. Cockerham passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29, 1939 in Calvin, LA. to Murray Riffe and Ruby Bates Riffe.
Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs.
Mrs. Cockerham was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty-one years, Loyd Cockerham.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Leslie Fredrick of Winnfield, Louisiana; children, James and Nancy Cockerham of Marshall, Texas, Mitzi Crowson of Hughes Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Tim and Amanda Skaggs, Charles “Jeb” and Laikyn Crowson, Matthew and Kaitlen Stewart, Shelton and Kelly Sykes, and Aimee Cockerham; great grandchildren, Kayden, Kailee, Kaci, Matthew, Jackson, Jett, Arden, Margaret, and Amelia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles “Jeb” Crowson, David Glenn Cook, Roy Parker Cook Jr., Leslie Velton Frederick Jr., Timothy Everette Skaggs, and James Loyd Cockerham.
