Bettye Bollman Spruell

Memorial Services for Bettye Bollman Spruell, 85 of Jefferson, Texas will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 2pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Morris officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held from 1:30-2PM on Friday November 3, 2023, prior to the service.

Bettye was Born in Fannin County, Texas May 29, 1938, to Ben Henry Bollman and Della Cornelia Berry. She passed away in Teague, Texas October 23, 2023. She graduated from Jefferson high school. She owned the Club Café in Jefferson for several years then went on to retire from Ashland oil. She married Mac  Spruell December 23, 2000, in their home in Jefferson, Texas.

She loved listening to the Jefferson Bulldog games on the radio and watching the Texas Rangers and the Aggies on tv. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and taking her grandchildren on trips. She cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Mac Spruell, brothers Bobby Bollman and Larry Bollman, sister Bennie Bollman, a daughter Susan VanDeventer, granddaughter Kaye Lee Woodall and son-in-law Robert (Woody) Woodall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Kenneth Mark VanDeventer of Jefferson, daughters Sheila Woodall of Uncertain, TX, Jennifer Morris and husband Lesley of Donie, Tx, four grandchildren, Kenneth Morris and wife Emily, Rippy Woodall, Reba VanDeventer, and Ashley Jackson and husband Chad, four great grandsons Bransyn Jackson, Houston Jackson, Wyatt Morris, and Denver Jackson, and her beloved sister-in-law Betty Joyce Bollman. Also, many nieces and nephews.
