C. Ray Walker, 81, passed away peacefully at his Dallas home on July 1, 2019. There will be a time of visitation from 4pm-7pm, Friday, July 5th at Sparkman- Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, Texas and another time of visitation from 1pm-2pm Sunday, July 7, 2019 in the Cpt. W.M. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. Funeral Services will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 7, 2019 in the Captain W.M. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Rev. Brenda Lucas officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.
Ray was born and raised in Jefferson, TX where he loved working on his truck and tractor on the family farm. Ray graduated from Texas A & M University, as a mechanical engineer, class of 1959. He remained a loyal Aggie, and loved watching Texas A & M football. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Ray retired from Rockwell International. After retirement, Ray and Carolyn enjoyed traveling on trips across the globe.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his father, L.S. "Boots" Walker, his mother, Catherine "Honey" Walker and his older brother Jack, all of Jefferson, TX.
Those left to Cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Carolyn Foust-Walker; Brother, Tom Walker; Sisters, Linda Gail Smiley and Donna Schultz. He is also survived by nephew, Larry Wayne Schultz; nieces, Pamela Smiley Parker, Dana Smiley Clager (husband David) and his great niece Zoe Elizabeth Clager.
Pallbearers will be: Tom Walker, Larry Smith, Reggie Hasty, Larry Wayne Schultz , Bill Smiley, David Clager
