Caycen Mutai Obituary

Caycen Nolan Mutai was born on May 27, 2004, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Daniel Kibet Mutai and Jada Noel Goodman. He passed away on June 29, 2026, in Marion County, Texas.

Caycen graduated from Jefferson High School with the class of 2022. Shortly after graduation, he went straight to work in the oil field, where he quickly earned a reputation as a dedicated and hard-working young man. During his time in the oil field, he welcomed his greatest blessing, his son, Zyeir, with Jennifer Easter. Becoming a father was one of the proudest moments of Caycen’s life, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with his son. Later, he continued his career at IP in Mansfield, where his dedication, determination, and strong work ethic continued to shine. Outside of work, Caycen loved spending time outdoors. Whether he was fishing, riding four-wheelers, or simply making memories with family and friends, he embraced life to the fullest. Above all else, his greatest joy was spending time with his son, Zyeir. The love they shared was unconditional, and being Zyeir’s dad was one of Caycen’s greatest blessings. His unforgettable smile, adventurous spirit, and deep love for his family will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Caycen was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Katelyn Mutai, whom he loved so much; his bonus dad, Felix Love; and his great-grandparents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Jada Goodman; his father, Daniel Mutai, and Brittany; his beloved son, Zyeir Mutai; his brothers and sisters, Jayden Garrett, Mason Mutai, Maddie Mutai, Daniel Mutai, and Demitri Mutai; his grandparents, Kent “Papaw” and Deana “Memaw” Goodman, Henry and Hannah Lagat, and Papa and Memaw “T” Thompson; his aunt, Alecia “Aunt Lucy” Capps and Christopher; his uncle, Kevin “Uncle Cookie” Goodman and Marrisha; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
