Clifford Eugene Hastings

Memorial Services for Clifford Eugene Hastings, 80, of Hallsville, Texas will be held on Saturday, January 4,2025 at 2:00pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Bro. William O' Bryant officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.

He was born on February 28, 1944, in Thayer, Kansas to Leo Hastings and Laura Nell Peterson Hastings and passed away on December 24, 2024, in Marshall, Texas.

Mr. Hastings proudly served his community as a sheriff’s officer and city police officer in both Gregg County and Marion County.

He is preceded in in death by his parents; wife, Marylus Jean Hastings; brother, Gary Hastings; sister, Royalyn Whitley; great grandson, Cooper Joseph Mannings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Robert Hastings and wife Cynthia, Melissa Dutton and husband Thomas, and David Hastings and wife Sharon; brother, Lowell Hastings; grandchildren, Paige Hastings, Taylor Frates and husband Joseph, Kayla Hastings, Katelynn Hardaway and husband Justin, Anecia Davis and husband John, Amber Manning and husband Garrett. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
