Davis Tolleson

Graveside services for Davis Tolleson, 83, of Jefferson, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Prospect Cemetery.  The service will be officiated by Pastor John Givens under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home, Jefferson, Texas.

Mr. Tolleson was born March 18, 1939, to Olen Tolleson and Lilly Whitfield Tolleson in Jefferson, Texas and passed away on August 16, 2022, in Marshall, Texas.

After Graduating from Jefferson High School Davis went on to honorably serve his county in the United States Army.  He owned Tolleson Pest Control for over 20 years and served on the Jefferson Volunteer Ambulance and Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department.  He held a special reverence for Alcoholics Anonymous and was very proud of his work with the organization and his dedication to sobriety since 1979.

Mr. Tolleson is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lester Tolleson; and sister, Betty Talley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; David Tolleson and Kelli, Cherry Tolleson, and Deric Tolleson and Judy; grandchildren, Dustin Tolleson, Logan Rhodes and Rowdy, Camie Tolleson, Payten Kimble, and Eli Kimble; and great grandchild Reagan Tolleson.

Honorary pallbearers are Byron Waldrop, Russell Cooner, Peter Henderson, Billy Whatley, John Watson, and Carey Heaster.
