Debra Jean Whitfield

Funeral Services for Debra Jean Whitfield, 68, of Jefferson, Texas will be held on Saturday November 23, 2024, at 11am in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Taylor officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Whitfield was born in Lamesa, Texas on October 18, 1956, to Edward Lee Mitchell and Doris Elaine Lasatter Mitchell and passed away on November 19, 2024, in Jefferson, Texas.

Debra was a beloved wife, mother, sister, Mimi, sister-in-law, and friend. She had many talents. One of many included dropping a deer from 400 yards. Her humor, feistiness, and get it done attitude will be missed by all who knew her. One thing you could always rely on was her speaking her mind!

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dennis and Rodney Mitchell; sister, Connie LaCoste.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jesse Earl Whitfield, Sr.; children, Tammie Lea Whitfield, Jesse Earl Whitfield, Jr.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashley Dupre, Jesse Earl Whitfield, III, Rilyn Elise Billiot; great grandchildren, Xyliana Jean Whitfield, Elijah James Matherne, Suki Whitfield, and Everlee Jean Matherne.
