A private family graveside service for Mr. Eddie Lee Hindsman “Silver Fox”, 68, of Avinger, Texas is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday March 29, 2020 at Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, Texas with Reverend Shane Hayes Officiating. There will be an open visitation from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM Saturday March 28, 2020 on a come and go basis at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic we are limiting ALL gatherings to a total of 10. I apologize for the inconvenience; however, it is not only for the safety of the family we are serving and our staff, but for you and your family’s safety as well.

Eddie Lee Hindsman was born July 26, 1951 in Vivian, Louisiana to Bennie Newton Hindsman and Edwyna Kathryn Roberts Hindsman and passed away on March 25, 2020 in Longview, Texas.

Mr. Hindsman was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Daingerfield as well as the Sheriff Association. He was a Deputy Sheriff of Marion County for over 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing telling jokes and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Hindsman was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dell Hindsman of Avinger; son, Shane & Becky Hindsman of Marietta; daughter, Shonda Keenan of Daingerfield; son, Chris & Brittany Racine of Longview; son, Eric & Rana Racine of Longview; daughter, Sonya & Toby Leger of Lafayette; sister, Elaine Hindsman of Shelbyville, TN; brother, Mark Hindsman of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Beverly Allen of Burleson; brother, Robert Earl Hindsman of McLeod; sister, Kaye Lawrence of McLeod; sister, Tammy Parker of Atlanta; grandchildren, Rachel Hindsman, Kevin Keenan, Chris Racine, Colson Racine, Laylialee Racine, Chance Racine, Skylar Leger, Kylie Leger, Michael Leger as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
