Edna Dorgan Perot

Edna Jean Dorgan Perot passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 in Jefferson, Texas, at the age of 90.  She was born February 5, 1932 in Marion County to Edward and Ora Lee Dorgan.  Edna married Alphonse Love Perot, Jr., in Newton, Texas on January 12, 1946 and they were married for seventy years until Al’s passing in 2016.  She traveled to many different places during Al’s twenty-two years in the United State Navy and settled back in Jefferson after his retirement.  The two of them raised two children, Robbie and Victor, and were active in the community.  They especially enjoyed playing golf until the decline of their health. Edna loved her family tremendously and they loved her that way, too.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Hampton.

Edna is survived by her children, Robbie and Joe Hall, and Victor and Anita Perot, and her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sharon Dorgan.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Danielle and Chris Smith, Marissa and Brian Arledge, Mark and Lisa Wyatt, David and Kim Wyatt, Warren Wyatt and Robert Wyatt.  Her great-grandchildren are Brendan Husfeld, Piper Smith, Ty Westyn Brogdon, Gage Smith, Ansley Smith, Charlotte Wyatt, Alden Wyatt, Austin Wyatt, Amber and Steven Wilson, Sydnea Arledge, and Alli Arledge.  Her great-great-grandchildren are River and Beckham Wilson, and Adrian and Adalynn Banuelos.  Edna is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved with all her heart.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at both Marshal Homecare and Hospice and Magnolia Place Nursing Home, for their so very welcomed care and compassion for Edna during her final days.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson.
