Frank Stephenson

A memorial service for Mr. Frank Stephenson, 80, of Avinger, Texas will be held at a later date.

Frank Stephenson was born May 8, 1940 in Eugene, Oregon to Felix Wood Stephenson and Bertha Pauline Slone Stephenson and died peacefully of natural causes at his home on the lake, August 11, 2020.

Mr. Stephenson was a member of the Oakland Heights Baptist Church of Longview, Texas as well as the IUOE, The International Union of Operating Engineers, #178. Frank was a truck driver for most of his life and was also in commercial real estate. He was an avid gun collector and hunter. Frank loved his rescue animals and to him, they were just like family.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Sonja Gayle Stephenson.

Frank is survived by his wife of 34 years, Frances Stephenson; daughter, Lisa Martin of Hurst, Texas; son, Jeff Temples of Arthur City, Texas; son, Rocky L. Stephenson Sr. of Pomona, Kansas; daughter, Tina C. Raper of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, Frank Stephenson of Mustang, Oklahoma; sister, Connie Chandler of Lubbock, Texas; brother, Freddie Stephenson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
