Gary Glee Webb

Gary Glee Webb of Jefferson, Texas, the son of Charlie Dee and Jessie Mae Webb (Marshall) was born March 24, 1932 in Ringgold County Iowa into a family with 4 brothers; Richard, Wiley, Kyle and Dennis with 2 sisters; Georgia and Thelma. His early years were spent on his parents farm in Iowa.  Upon Graduation in 1951 he moved to Denver, Colorado where he was employed by the railroad.  After a few years he changed employment to Western Union as a service technician.  While in Denver in 1954 he was united in marriage to his High School sweetheart Iris Jeanne Rinehart and they started their long journey of married life.   Gary and Iris relocated several times from Kansas, Colorado and Texas as he advanced in his job throughout his career.  After a final move to Dallas, Texas they made their home until he retired after 30 years of employment with Western Union and Iris from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt whom managed payroll for the company.  Gary and Iris retired to Jefferson, Texas where they had purchased a house and made their home.

Gary was very active in maintaining his home where he and Iris spent many hours of their retirement happily working in the yard.  Because of investing properly Gary and Iris spent many hours playing slot machines in Shreveport which they both enjoyed.  After 56 joyous years of marriage Iris passed away on February 2, 2014 after a short illness.  After Iris' death Gary sold his home and moved into a retirement home in Jefferson until his diagnosis with dementia.  Mr. Webb spent his final years at Magnolia Place nursing home in Jefferson, Texas until his passing on April 11, 2018 at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 13th in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Pete Sellers officiating.
