A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Gwendolyn Harper Buckley,82 , of Jefferson under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Buckley was born December 18, 1935 in Haughton, LA. to William Glen Harper and Gracie Cortez and passed away January 17, 2018 in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Buckley loved her family dearly and enjoyed every opportunity to get together with them.

Mrs. Buckley is preceded in death by her parents and her sister; Norma Munro.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, J.R. Buckley; children, Sheila Evers of Jefferson, Michael Goodman and wife Julie of Winterhaven, Florida, Kent Goodman and wife Deana, and Darlene Duck and husband Bo all of Jefferson; sister, Kay Tyler of Jefferson; grandchildren, Chad McCollum, Amber Cromer and husband Wesley, Kimberly Goodman, Aaron Goodman, Alecia Capps and husband Chris, Jada Goodman, Kevin Goodman and wife Marrisha, Kyle Blevins and wife Katie, Christopher Duck and wife Janna, and Richard Goodman and fiancé Allison Kramer; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and friends.
