A private family graveside service for Mr. Harle Wayne Chatham Jr., 60 of Jefferson, Texas is scheduled for 11:00 AM Tuesday April 28, 2020 at Mims Chapel Cemetery in Avinger, Texas with Rev. Gary Standish Officiating. There will be an open visitation from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday April 27, 2020 on a come and go basis at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic we are limiting ALL gatherings to a total of 10. I apologize for the inconvenience; however, it is not only for the safety of the family we are serving and our staff, but for you and your family’s safety as well.
Harle Wayne Chatham Jr. was born November 13, 1959 in Chattanooga, TN to Harle Wayne Chatham Sr. and Myrtle Louise Love Chatham and passed away on April 22, 2020 in Marshall, Texas.
Mr. Chatham was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church and a retired Smithland Volunteer Fireman. Wayne retired from driving a truck after over 30 years and well over a million miles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman. Above all else Wayne loved spending time with his friends and family.
Mr. Chatham was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky Chatham of Jefferson; daughter, Vanessa Ann Amos of Chattanooga, TN; son, Kenneth Wayne Chatham of Cleveland, TN; son, Christopher Wayne Chatham of Louisiana; sister, Bobbie McGriff & Richard of Jefferson; sister, Debra Hamilton & Tony of Linden; brother, Charles Wayne Chatham & Carrolle of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
