Hatsuko (Michiyo) Take Corpier  was called home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2024, in Marshall, Texas, at the age of 96. She passed away peacefully after a life full of love, devotion, and selflessness.

Hatsuko was born on July 3, 1928, in Osaka, Japan, and was later adopted by her grandparents Koukoishi and Michiyo Take of Kagoshima.

She married Bill Corpier, Sr. on January 2, 1952, in Okinawa and moved to the United States in 1955. She became a US citizen in 1964.

Michi, as she was known by her friends, always put others first. She had a loving, caring, and kind nature and dedicated her life to being a good mother and housewife; taking pride in creating a warm and welcoming home environment. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, tending to her two cats- activities that brought great joy to her life and enriched those around her. Her greatest joy was knowing Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

She was an active member of Pope City Baptist Church, where she found great solace and community.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She leaves behind her sons: Bill and his wife Suzanne Corpier, Jr.; Eddy and his wife Karen Corpier; daughters: Yvonne and husband Bob McCarty and LeiLani and husband  Dennis Rieck. She will be missed by her beloved grandchildren: Rusty, Rachel,  Shane, Brandt, Brittany, Candis and Cameron and her great-grandchildren Jacob, Rylin, Carter, Rylee, Ryan, Paisley, Presley, and Piper  along with her cherished cats, Sunshine and Boncha.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Mayo, Harry Thorton, Jimmy Hugh Hordern, Josh Cherry, Delwyn Scasta, and Dean Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty McCarty, Shane Corpier, Cameron Corpier, and Jacob George.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Corpier, Sr.

Her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
