A Celebration of Life for Mr. James Terrell Wardlaw, Sr., 80, of Avinger, Texas will be held at 3188 FM 1969, Avinger, Texas on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:00am. The graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday January 14, 2023, at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Texarkana, Arkansas.
Mr. Wardlaw was born on March 17, 1938, in Texarkana, Arkansas to W.G. Wardlaw and Mary Lucille Pierce Wardlaw. Mr. Wardlaw passed away on December 25, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He loved cutting horses and barrel racing but most of all, he loved his family.
Mr. Wardlaw was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Earnestine O’Farrell Wardlaw; parents; sons, Roy Burt Wardlaw and Charles Edward Wardlaw; sister, Janie House; and a nephew, Jay Wardlaw.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, James Terrell Wardlaw, Jr., Sue Lamon & husband Art, and Cindy Wardlaw; brother, Charles Wardlaw & wife Gayle; and grandchildren, Brian Phelps, and Carmen Phelps. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
