Graveside services for Mr. Jessie Lenard Nelson, Jr., 85, of Jefferson will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 7, 2019 at Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Taylor officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. There will be a time from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Friday evening for a visitation with family and friends at the funeral home.

Mr. Nelson was born February 6, 1934 to Jessie Lenard Nelson, Sr. and Helen Post Nelson, and passed away September 5, 2019 in Jefferson, TX.

Mr. Nelson proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War.

Mr.  Nelson was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Dan Nelson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Preston Nelson and wife Norma, and niece Tammy ReNee Nelson.
