A celebration of life and pot luck dinner in remembrance of Mr. John “J.T.” Taylor Queen, Jr., 56, of Jefferson, Texas, will be held on Saturday October 10, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Community Center.
J.T. was born in Florence, Alabama on June 14, 1964 to John Taylor Queen, Sr. and Ruby Mae Hearn Queen and passed away at his home in Jefferson, Texas on September 13, 2020. Mr. Queen proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He lived in Jefferson for the past 15 years and owned and operated Creative Carpentry. J.T. had a larger than life personality and loved working with and for the public and his customers generally became good friends. J.T.’s greatest passion in life was the love he had for his wife, children, and family.
Mr. Queen was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jessey Hearne.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Nixon; 5 daughters, Brandi Logan & Sarah, Jessica Goode & Johnathan, Taylor Queen, Billie Yount, and Angel Johnson; 4 sons, Raymond Taylor Queen, Justin Ray Moore, Harley Higginbotham & Sherry, and Eric Taylor Queen; sister, Sheila Baker & Rollin; brothers, David Hearne & Betty and Frank Hearne; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
