Loevetta Lynn Crowell Tu’ipulotu, age 49, died peacefully in the loving arms of her mother on March 22nd, 2023, at the Longview Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Loevetta was born on June 27th, 1973 in Gary, Indiana, to Robin and Marion Crowell, Jr. Loevetta has only one brother, Steve Crowell.
Loevetta graduated with her MSW from Andrews University in 2001. She had been a blessing to many companies and ministries just like she had been to Jefferson Christian Academy for 9 years.
Loevetta is preceded in death by her father, Marion Crowell, Jr.,her husband, Gio Tu’ipulotu, and brother, Marion Crowell, III. She is survived by her mother, Robin Schavey Gilliland, 1 brother, Steve Crowell, 3 nephews, Stephan Jacob Crowell, Nathan James Crowell, and Mason Joseph Crowell, and a substantial loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides spending time with her family, friends, and her students, Loevetta loved the outdoor life. She loved hikes and looking for blue holes in nature. She loved the beaches and the ocean. Over the years of her married life, she developed a love for brass bands, which her husband used to lead in the Academy.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, 6:00 to 8:00 PM March 25th, 2023, at the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM Sunday at Jefferson Academy SDA Church. Pastor Gene Clapp. Munilaiti, Mike, Zephaniah, Delray, Orphia Manrique, Jennard and Anthony will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at the Berea Cemetery. Refreshments will be served following the interment.
