Graveside Services for Mary Coleman, 86, of Jefferson, Texas will be held Saturday November 18, 2023, at 2pm in Gray Cemetery in Gray, Texas with Brother Tim Brown officiating under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mary Belle (Norris) Coleman was born March 30, 1937, in East Point, Louisiana to Crawford and Mary Lou (Kibler) Norris. She peacefully entered eternal rest on October 28, 2023, at Magnolia Place in Jefferson, Texas.
Mary was an avid sports fan and in her later years planned her day around watching the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers. She would tell anyone the history, statistics, and trades of all the players on both teams. She was extremely proud of the Rangers this season!
In her spare time, she loved completing crossword puzzles and creating crafts for the holidays. Her greatest joy was assisting in raising her grandkids, Collin and Lindsey Maxwell. From picking them up at school to attending musical and sporting activities, her calendar centered around them. They were the light of her life!
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of twenty years, Richard Gray Coleman; and brothers Loren Norris and Leo Norris. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Lynn (Coleman) Maxwell and husband Chris; grandson, Collin Scott Maxwell; and granddaughter, Lindsey Gray Maxwell. She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Chris Maxwell, Collin Maxwell, Grayson Moore, and Derrel Hartzo.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Williams and Darryl Dixson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Jefferson Carnegie Library – 301 West Lafayette Street, Jefferson, Texas 75657.
