Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Freda Sullivan, 88, of Jefferson will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday May 9, 2020 at The Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hoke and Rev. Brenda Lucas officiating, under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Argo, Texas. There will be an open viewing from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM Friday May 8, 2020 on a come and go basis at Haggard Funeral Home in Jefferson, Texas. Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic we are reminding people to continue practicing social distancing. Mrs. Sullivan was born February 23, 1932 to Lee Ollice Cameron and Josie Naomi Churchill Sullivan in Argo, Texas and passed away May 5, 2020 in Marshall, Texas.

She was known by many as Freda, Momma and Nana too. She was a dedicated member of the Church of God Prophecy. Freda served 27 years as the local missionary leader and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed crocheting and loved to gift it to others. For the past 3 years while residing in Jefferson she attended First United Methodist Church in Jefferson and Shiloh United Methodist Church with her family. She also enjoyed teaching life skills in the community. She retired after 25 years with Belk Jones. Traveling and fishing were a delight for her and her late husband. Freda was a strong tower and an inspiration who will be deeply missed by all.

Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward Lee Sullivan.

She is survived by her son, Lonnie Ray Sullivan and wife Sue of Jefferson, TX; daughter, Geneva Bateman and husband Billy of Texarkana, AR; daughter, Sharon Baker and husband Gary of DeQueen, AR; brother, Orville Cameron of Cookville, TX; grandchildren, Bobby Davis of Dallas, TX, Todd Davis of Dallas, TX, Josh Davis of Granite Falls, WA, Dustin Sullivan of Plano, TX, Greta Duncan of Jefferson, TX, Sumer Sullivan of Plano, TX, Jamie Baker of DeQueen, AR; 13 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers are; Dustin Sullivan, Robert Davis, Todd Davis, Josh Davis, Jamie Baker and Clay Ross.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Liberty Hill Cemetery c/o Tawana Kizer 7611 FM 1001, Cookville, TX 75558.
