Monte Alan York

A celebration of life for Monte Alan York, 61, of Gladewater, Texas will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11:00am at Monte’s Cabin located at 20357 CR 373, Gladewater, Texas 75647.

Mr. York was born on April 7, 1963, in North Bend, Oregon to Don Rogers York and Olene Sue McDonald Moore and passed away on June 8, 2024, in Gladewater, Texas.

Monte was truly a loyal person and was loyal without fault to his family and friends. He was a giver in a world full of takers. Monte provided for others when they needed help and had a true heart of gold. He was an absolute devoted family man. Monte loved to make people laugh and even vowed that he would spend his last days doing exactly that.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Todd York and his son, Nicholas York.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, daughter, Jessica Baker and husband Joe; special pet, Angel; sister, Dawn Livingston and husband Deril; sister-in-law, Lisa York; nieces and nephews, Derek James and wife Jade, Joshua Murray, Cody Davis and wife Drena, Zachary York and wife Katlyn, and Tiffany Whitaker. He is also survived by numerous other extended family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Harp, Mike Wilson, Raymond  a.k.a. “Pokie”, and Eddie Lee Jacobs.
