Nancy (Wheat) Whatley

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nancy Whatley, 82, of Jefferson, Texas is scheduled for Friday, December 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the McCleod Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Jeff Story officiating and Pastor Justin Terry assisting. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held immediately following the service in Trinity Cemetery, Jefferson, Texas.

Nancy Whatley was born December 22, 1938, to Earl James Wheat and Jeanetta Lovelace Swazey Wheat in Gilbert, Louisiana.

Surviving is her husband, Gilbert Ray Whatley of Jefferson, Texas and their children, Charles Bornman, Jr., Penny Wray (Ricky), Steven Whatley (Mirna), and Victoria Coats (James). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Whatley in death were her parents, sisters, Susie Pease and Earlene Echols, and her brother, Edwin Wheat.
