Mrs Horn passed away January 14, 2021  at Carrington Place of Springhill, Springhill LA.

Graveside services for Mrs. Norma Helen Riley Horn, 92 of Springhill, Louisiana, formerly of Jefferson, Texas are to be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Oakwood Memorial Park in Jefferson, Texas with Rev. Virginia Pevey officiating.  Visitation is from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to funeral at the Capt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Horn was born November 17,1928 in Snyder, Texas to Hazel and Ross Riley. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson. She and her husband Douglas moved to Jefferson in 1964 and were the owners of Jefferson Flower and Gift. They later sold the shop and opened the Gingerbread House Bed and Breakfast. Mrs. Horn loved Jefferson and participated in all that Jefferson had to offer including Taste of Jefferson and Pilgrimage parades. 

She was preceded in death by husband Douglas after 65 years of marriage.  Mrs. Horn was also preceded in death by three siblings; Bobbie Riley, Eulene Cronk, and Ronnie Riley. She is survived by a sister, Janita Altaffer and her children: Linda Reed (Randy) of Springhill, LA, Doug Horn of Houston, TX, Clint Horn (Leann) of Spring, TX. Grandchildren; Amy Sessions (Jeff), Ryan Reed (Melanie), Wendy Reed (Erik), Douglas Horn III, Anna Payne (Derrick), Elke Sobieraj (Sean), Eric Horn (Lauren). She is survived by ten great grandchildren; Madi Sessions, Nick Sessions, Lily Reed, Luke Reed, Melia Payne, Kai Payne, Douglas Horn IV, Sophia Horn, Savannah Miller, and Rylynn Horn.
