Funeral services for Pearl Elizabeth “Liz” Davis, 84, of Jefferson, Texas will be held on Sunday November 10,2024 at 2:00pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Skinner officiating and under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday November 9,2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the Cpt. Wm. Perry Chapel of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearl Elizabeth “Liz” Davis was born on May 12, 1940, in Jefferson, Texas to Jessie Marshall Baker and Annie Belle Beamer Baker and passed away on November 4, 2024, in Jefferson, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas “Tommy” Davis; brother, Ray Baker; sister, Bess Peters; daughter, Karen Dianne Davis; son, Bobby Ray Davis; grandson, David Andrew Scoles and stepfather John Davis “Boe” Aiken.
Mrs. Davis had been a long-standing member of the Jefferson First Assembly of God Church in Jefferson. She was devoted to her husband, children, and the service to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She loved to make people laugh and immersed herself in the activity of homemaking, raising her family, church involvement, TOPS group, and Chriscare, and establishment designed to care for her handicapped nephew. She also enjoyed reading, music, and Hallmark movies. She worked as a nurse aid and was a Navy wife.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Janice Lynn Davis Scoles of Syracuse, Indiana and Thomas Glenn Davis of Jefferson, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a cat.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Brandon Davis, Adam Davis, Aaron Davis, Chad Davis, Stephen Scoles, and David Blair.
The Department of the Navy had recognized her as a disabled Veteran due to the service and disability of her late husband and her own disability.
