Peggy was born March 9, 1955, in Texarkana, TX to Merle T. Turner, and Frances Mae Turner and passed away on the evening of  Sunday, February 26, 2023 surrounded by her family and dear friends in Jefferson, Texas.

Peggy was an original. A one of a kind not only as a person, but she also had a one of a kind heart. She was always the first to lend a helping hand to friends, relatives, and even strangers. She served many roles through her lifetime. Some of which include Day Care Owner/Operator, Manager, Den Mother for Boy Scouts, Blue Bird Mother, Youth Baseball Coach, Photographer, Award Winning Cake Baker, Event Coordinator, and Eastern Star Member. Her greatest titles include Peggy, Moma P, daughter, sister, aunt, Nana, and most of all mother.

Peggy was very involved in church. She had most recently attended First Baptist Church of Linden, Texas serving as Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of New Prospect Baptist Church for the majority of her life. During that time she often sang in the choir, lead music, taught Sunday School, and was a cemetery trustee.  She was an ordained minister and served as chaplain for the SBC Disaster Relief.

Something very dear to her heart was Eastern Star. Peggy was a member of four Eastern Star Chapters including, Jefferson, Linden, Omaha, and Gilmer. She currently served as Worthy Matron of Omaha. The friendships and sisterhood she developed through Eastern Star were very cherished by her.

Peggy had a heart bigger than any of us deserved and cared deeply for her family, friends, and four-legged babies. Once you were family, she never turned her back on you.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Merle T. Turner and Frances Mae Turner and Aunt Joyce  May. She is survived by her husband AJ “Sonny” Reinhardt and brother Edward Turner. Children Kevin McNeely and Karen McNeely. Grandchildren Stormi Tutt and husband Dakota, and Sydney Jones and husband Troy. She was so very proud to welcome into the world just 7 weeks ago her first and only Great-Granddaughter Ainsley Gayle Tutt. She is also survived by her nephews she loved as her children,  Austin and Alan Turner. Peggy also had several extended family members who were near and dear to her heart.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Cooner, Greg Cooner, Justin Cooner, Jason Cooner, Scott Whatley, Alan Whatley, Clint Whatley, Jeff Grubbs, Wayne Grubbs, and Byron Waldrop.
